Week 22 - Quite the busy week

It's only Tuesday & a lot has already happened at the house.  Painted a few accent walls & the master bathroom with the help of my friend Kate.  Met with the countertop guy on monday afternoon and dropped off the lighting at the house at the same time.  This morning, dropped by the house at 7:30ish to give some info to the contractor and they were unloading the tile for the bathroom and the cabinets had already been delivered.  Garage doors go in this week, cabinets installed, meeting again with countertop guy tomorrow, appliances on Friday...wow....

Holy S***! A lot has happened since my last post.

Wow....things are really moving now!  This past week saw the rock installed on the front of the house, elecricity connected, the taping, texturing & priming done, interior paint today, garage floor was poured also today.

Next week will see even more drastic changes.  I meet with the countertop guy on Monday to decide on colors.  The garage doors also arrive Monday and Scott will start tiling.  Sometime next week the porch, sidewalk & pad in front of the garage are poured and the exterior will get painted.  Tuesday the cabinets arrive & get installed.  Friday, the appliances arrive...wow....cant wait to share all the changes!!

Progress...

Well, in the last few days they have installed the septic tank, placed the drain fields, ran the gas & electrical lines from the street to the house and have backfilled the garage with rock in preparation for the slab.  Pics are below.  So far, move in date will be in early to mid April.

Trenching

Well, yesterday they started trenching for the electric, gas, & water and today they are supposed to be doing the septic tank & drainfield.  Pics below are from yesterday.

Next.....

The rock is done!...sheetrock that is.  The whole house is done being sheetrocked and is now ready for tape & texture.  A few things have to happen first.  The excavator comes on wed for trenching the gas line, electric line for the light at the end of the driveway, electrical for underground to the house, septic, drainfield & well.

On the exterior, the lap siding is just about done and they have prepped for the rock.  Above the lap siding will be shake so that will be coming along soon.  Once the trenching is done & everything is connected, they can heat up the house so its ready for mud!   See pics below.

Rockin' Royal

This has been a busy week at the jobsite.  The electrical, plumbing, & HVAC are done....and they are sheetrocking up a storm!  The front of the house is taking shape also.  See pics below.  I will post more tonight or tomorrow.
