The next chapter......

Well, the house is warm now and life is moving forward.  After 2 months of visitors, house guests and family being in Spokane to share the housewarming with me (Mom, Bob & Cheryl were able to come up and celebrate with me), the house is quiet.  Spent the first night alone, in a long time, in the house and enjoyed it immensely.

Progress...on the road to the Open House, July 10th

I havent posted in a while, so figured an update was needed.  After my trip to Maui, I have been trying to design my landscape for the front & the back of the house.  I have decided that I need to do it in stages.  I hope to have the area directly in front of the house finished before the housewarming & some sort of patio in place in the back.  For the rest of the land, Im in no hurry.

This weekend starts the initial trenching for sprinklers & to put the gutter drain pipe underground.  Hopefully in the next 2 weeks, I can get the majority of it done, so things will look nice for the housewarming.  We'll see.

Last friday, my friend Rob (Bobby) Wolfe arrived from Grass Valley for an extended visit.  With his help, I hope I can get things accomplished sooner than later.  Also, many of my local friends have offered to help, so will be enlisting their services also.  Stage 1 will commence this friday afternoon...look for pics!

Well, I've been in the new house for over a month now.  Spent a week in Maui with my family inbetween...will post Maui pics later.  Here are a few house pics I took today.

Phase 2, Week 1....complete

Well, I've been in the house now for a week.  Not everything is complete yet, but its getting there.  Some minor stuff left...a few major items like the kitchen sink & countertops.  Now its time to get unpacked, organized & start on the landscape.

Today is the day!

Well, the house isnt completely done, but tonight I'm moving in!  I have to be out of my apt by Saturday, so am moving in tonight with the help of some great friends....  What's left you ask?.....  Countertops (kitchen & master) along with Sinks....a few doors, etc.  Not much, so next week it should be done.

Its been a busy week.  Moved the 10x20 storage unit into the garage & bonus room this past Sunday. Wow..what a job....forgot that I was such a pack rat.  More & more progress every day.  Enjoy the pics below...

Flooring & such....

Well, we are getting down to the wire.  Scott started installing the wood floors yesterday.  The kitchen & dining room were done when I was there last night.  Also, the plumber must have dropped by yesterday because all the water shutoff valves were installed & toilet installation parts were left in each bathroom.  Must mean toilets & sinks are coming soon.  Scott also moved the trash trailer out of the 3rd garage stall so I can move my storage stuff in this weekend.  We are still on schedule to move in by the end of the month.  Pics are below:
